The footage and mechanical drilling rate of the 121/4 IADC517G roller bit broke the record of a certain block, achieving a footage of 480m. With an average mechanical drilling rate of 11.4m/h, it completed the footage of 480m in just 42 hours, saving 20 hours of drilling time compared to the adjacent well.             

This section of the formation contains multiple hard layers with gravel inclusions and is prone to clay balling. The drill bit maintained rapid drilling and prevented clay balling. After being pulled out of the well, the drill bit showed no significant wear and can still be used.
