#News center ·2026-01-31 14:23:51

Recently, Xie Jiangling (Secretary of the Party Committee), Wang Wenjie (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee), and Zhang Jian (Vice President) of Beijing Information Science and Technology University, together with deans of relevant colleges and representatives of core research teams, traveled to Hejian City for a specialized research visit. They toured local partner enterprises, conducted detailed alignment with industrial development needs, and deepened university-local-government collaborative innovation. Deputy Mayor of Hejian City, Ma Zengjiang, along with Gao Zhenchuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Executive Deputy Director, and other officials, accompanied the delegation throughout the visit and co-participated in the related events.
The delegation visited GREAT Group and other university-local government partner enterprises, going deep into production workshops, R&D centers, and other core areas. They conducted on-site inspections of the enterprises' production operations, technological R&D, and product innovation. Through face-to-face discussions with corporate leaders and key technical personnel, they gained detailed insights into the enterprises' development plans, technical challenges, and industry-university-research collaboration needs — laying a solid foundation for the subsequent precise matching of university research resources to support high-quality enterprise development.

After the research visit concluded, the three parties — the university, local government, and enterprises — gathered in the conference room of GREAT Group to hold a special symposium centered on university-local cooperation, technological empowerment, and the planning and establishment of a research institute. During the meeting, relevant leaders from Hejian City presented the local industrial development layout, science and technology innovation construction plans, and the progress achieved in university-local cooperation. Representatives from GREAT Group and other enterprises shared practical outcomes of industry-university-research collaboration and raised cooperation needs in areas such as technological upgrading, talent cultivation, and the transformation of scientific research results.

Secretary Xie Jiangling and his delegation, leveraging Beijing Information Science and Technology University's disciplinary strengths, research accumulation, and talent resources in areas such as intelligent perception, intelligent equipment, and intelligent manufacturing, engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges with all parties on key issues including the direction for deepening university-local cooperation, pathways for empowering industrial upgrading through technological innovation, and the positioning, construction model, and core collaborative content for the proposed research institute. The three parties reached broad consensus, agreeing that the establishment of the research institute represents an important lever for integrating university-local-enterprise resources and promoting collaborative innovation. Moving forward, all sides will take this research and symposium as an opportunity to accelerate the preparatory work for the research institute, improve the industry-university-research collaborative innovation mechanism, and carry out in-depth cooperation in areas such as joint technological breakthroughs, commercialization of research outcomes, co-cultivation of application-oriented talent, and joint construction of research platforms. The goal is to achieve precise alignment between the university's scientific and technological innovation resources and Hejian's industrial needs, empowering the high-end, intelligent, and green development of Hejian's specialized industries through university-local collaboration, and realizing a win-win-win outcome for the university, local government, and enterprises.

This research visit represents an important practice by the university to proactively serve the national innovation-driven development strategy and deepen the integration of "government, industry, academia, research, and application." Through on-site visits, in-depth exchanges, and precise alignment, the university has further solidified its foundation for cooperation with Hejian City and broadened its pathways to serve technological innovation and industrial upgrading in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Taking this research visit as an opportunity, the university will continue to strengthen its educational characteristics, using Hejian as a key base to deeply integrate into the broader coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and contribute greater strength to the construction of a leading nation in education and technology.
